Bengaluru: Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar on Wednesday May 4 launched the #IndiaVsTobacco campaign. The campaign will engage young people, parents and institutions to work towards a tobacco-free country.
On the occasion, he also unveiled QR code-enabled billboards and posters that will be put up across the City. The billboards are interactive and aim to generate awareness on health risks due to usage of tobacco on our society and also spread awareness on the harms of passive smoking.
More than a million lives including 65,000 children, are lost due to the second hand smoke from cigarettes or beedis.
