Health workers who test positive for COVID-19 can opt for home quarantine

Bengaluru: As the number of health workers who are testing positive for COVID-19 in recent days is increasing, the Health and Family Welfare Department has directed the health workers who were tested positive and are asymptomatic for COVID-19 to adopt self home quarantine system.

Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department Jawaid Akhtar in his order has informed that, as doctors, nurses, and paramedic workers are well aware of the isolation protocol, it has been decided that they will be permitted to be in-home isolation.

However, such health workers who are advised to undergo home quarantine should strictly follow the isolation protocol and quarantine guidelines the order stated.
