Heavy rain lashes at low lying areas in B’luru, other Dists in State

Bengaluru: Heavy rains lashed capital and many Districts of the State on the night of Thursday April 14 and early hours of Friday April 15.

In many parts of City low-lying areas were completely inundated as residents faced hardship to  empty the water inside home. Rain water rushed into many houses in  Fayazabad.

Okalipura, Malleshwaram, Rajajinagara, Kalasipalya, Majestic, Koramangala, Wilson Gardens, Rajarajeshwari Nagara, Vijayanagara, Mysuru road  areas witnessed heavy downpour affecting traffic. In Bannegughatta and Yeshawanthapura two trees fell on road affecting traffic. BBMP Forest staff cleared the trees. In some areas water flowed upto two feet on roads. Two-wheeler riders faced hard time to commuting.

Likewise many Districts including Dakshina Kannada among others experienced heavy downpour. According IMD prediction many parts of State would receive rains in next three days.
