Heavy rains continues to lash most part of K’taka

Bengaluru: Despite the fact that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has declared the Southwest Monsoon being over, there is no relief from the constant incessant rain to State.

On the night of Monday October 25 and the early hours of Tuesday October 26, most parts of the State experienced heavy rainfall.

Two major cities Bengaluru and Mysuru witnessed heavy rainfall throughout the night. The flood waters has caused artificial flood in many areas in both these cities which are reeling under rain related problems for the last few days.

In Bengaluru City, ten houses lying in low areas have witnessed flooding. Heavy rainfall caused problems in Kengeri and surrounding areas.

In Mysuru also, several residential colonies in the City outskirts have faced flooding as lakes breached following heavy rainfall. The Fire and Emergence Service Department staff worked throughout the night to help the residents.
