Bangalore : Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily has said that the Congress High Command would decide on the  Chief Ministerial candidate if the party is elected to power.

Speaking to reporters here,  Moily further said there would be no dictatorial policy in the Congress as in the BJP and that the leadership would elicit the opinion of all MLAs before deciding on the CM candidate.

He pointed out  that the Congress has not distributed tickets to corrupt persons. Clarifying on the issue of granting ticket to Amaresh, the sitting MLA of Mulabagilu and Santosh Lad and Anil Lad, the minister said  in case of Amaresh, the High Court has stayed  the punishment to him, while the court has not proved the irregularities against Anil Lad and Santosh Lad. Tickets have been granted to these  leaders after considering all these aspects, Moily said.

Moily further said the voters would teach a befitting reply to the BJP this time.
