Bengaluru: The state higher education department has replaced the Karnataka University, Dharwad (KUD) registrar following complaints of sexual harassment and plagiarism.
According to sources, University registrar Dr. Kallappa M Hosamani was facing both these charges. “We have directed the university Vice-Chancellor to hold a departmental inquiry against Hosamani. He has been replaced by Vijayalakshmi Amminabhavi from the department of psychology,” said sources.
“Hosamani is from the department of Chemistry. He has been asked to return to the department,” informed an officer.
