Bengaluru: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Tuesday May 17 reiterated strict implementation of Anti-Conversion Law and made clear that it is not against any religion. However, religious conversion by force or through inducement will not be tolerated under law.

He asked the Christian community not to be fearful, and clarified that there is nothing in the legislation that puts a curb on the constitutionally provided religious rights.

It can be recalled here that it was last week that the Cabinet had decided to promulgate an ordinance to give effect to the law.
