Bengaluru: HSR Layout (Hosur-Sarjapur Road Layout) is all set to become the first locality in Bengaluru to celebrate festival (habba) to promote Kannada language and culture.
“Our intention is to promote Kannada among the non-Kannada speaking people in HSR Layout where a considerable number of people from other states are residing,’’ said Spoorthi Vishwas, an actress and Managing Director of Event Art.
The two-day event will begin on December 23. Musical Star Night is scheduled for December 24 where Sandalwood heroines Rashmika Mandanna, Ragini Dwivedi, Nabha Natesh, Meghana Gaonkar, Mayuri, Neethu, Kavya, Tejaswini Prakash, Hitha Chandrasekhar and others are expected to participate.
“I have to thank Bommanahalli MLA M Satish Reddy for not only extending moral support but also guiding us on how to make HSR Habba a grand success,’’ Spoorthi Vishwas said.
Speaking on the occasion, M Satish Reddy said HSR Layout is known for plastic free locality in Bengaluru. “I have advised the organisers to ensure no usage of plastic during the two-day event. I appeal all the residents of HSR Layout to participate in the event. I am participating in the marathon on December 23,’’ Satish Reddy said.
Neethu said she was very happy to be part the event. “I have been residing in HSR Layout for three years. I wish best for the organisers and hope to organize similar events in the future too,’’ Neethu said.
