Bengaluru: Politicians tend to develop a hatred towards rival parties for their allegations and verbal spats. But in reality, all enjoy and have a good time together. This was the exact scene in the Vagus Hospital, where former chief minister Siddaramaiah has been admitted for an angioplasty surgery.
On Thursday, December 12, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, state rural development and panchayat raj minister K S Eshwarappa and state home minister Basavaraj Bommai visited Siddaramaiah at the hospital to enquire about his health.
According to reports, Siddaramaiah warmly welcomed CM BSY and company into his room and asked his associates to pull a chair for BSY.
The CM is said to have spoken with the doctor about Siddaramaiah’s health and informed him what the doctor had to say.
When the former chief minister asked BSY what was the doctor’s opinion, he has said, “Doctors have informed me that you are responding to the treatment very well. In my opinion, it is better that you stay in the hospital itself and take some rest as you will not get any rest if you are discharged and get back home.”
Siddaramaiah is also reported to have taunted Eshwarappa, who gave him a flower bouquet saying, “Now I know that even you have a heart.” Eshwarappa reacted by saying, “Did you think I don’t have feelings?” Siddaramaiah then asked the minister whether he had meant anything like that to him.
Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah has informed that he is alright and that there is no cause for worry. He has said that the doctors have insisted that he stay in the hospital for two more days.
