Bengaluru: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rainfall in the coastal region of Karnataka over the next 24-48 hours, and dry weather is expected to continue in other parts of the state as well as the rest of the country.
According to weather reports, Tamil Nadu has been observing moderate to heavy rainfalls for the past few days, which is likely to affect Karnataka’s coastal belt. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and other parts of the country have already witnessed rainfalls.
Meanwhile, Myanmar witnessed an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale. This has caused tremors in Bangladesh and West Bengal. Myanmar is also expected to get some rainfall.
The weather department has also predicted retreating monsoons from the first week of December in Tamil Nadu, with moderate to heavy rainfalls. This is also expected to affect Karnataka.
As per reports, the highest temperature in Bengaluru will be 27 degrees Celsius and the lowest will be 19 degrees Celsius. The Bidar district has, so far, been witnessing a temperature of 13 degrees Celsius, the lowest in the state.
