Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister of Karnataka H. D. Kumaraswamy has urged Janata Dal (Secular) workers on Tuesday November 16 to build the party ahead of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) polls and the 2023 Assembly elections.
According to sources he said that, “We can’t build our party on the strength of money. We should construct it with our own efforts. Whoever wants to meet me and discuss it properly can do so.”
Former Prime Minister H. D, Deve Gowda and his son-led party, are trying to establish themselves in the State electoral landscape, despite having lost ground to the two national parties, the Bhartiya Janata Party and the Congress.
He said that it was critical to do well in the BBMP elections in order to do well in the 2023 Assembly elections and to strive to take up administration without allying with any national party.
