Bengaluru: The Income Tax departmemt has issued notices to family members of energy minister D K Shivakumar.
According to sources, notices have been issued to Gauramma (mother), Usha (wife), DK Suresh (brother-MP), sister and children of D K Shivakumar directing them to appear for an inquiry. Further it is gathered that the IT officials have directed them not to seek help of their accountants while answering the questions posed to them.
It can be recalled that IT officers had conducted raids on D K Shivakumar house on August 2. Search operations were carried out in atleast 60 places in the state including Bengaluru, Bengaluru rural, Hassan and Mysuru.
Until now D K Shivakumar has been summoned six times for an inquiry by the IT officials inorder to trace the various investments made by him in India and abroad.
