Bengaluru: The Janasevaka programme, which was launched on November 1 to provide government services to people’s doorsteps, will include services relating to the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA).

On Saturday December 11, Higher Education Minister Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan has informed that the programme currently offers 79 citizen services. He mentioned that he will speak with the Chief Minister about bringing BDA services under the programme.

Handbooks will be delivered to all seven wards in the constituency as part of the programme. “The book contains a list of 79 citizen services offered by nine departments, as well as the contact details for officials and Janasevaka who must be contacted in order to obtain the services, the government fee for the service, and the Janasevaka fee charged. It also informs citizens about the duration of time it takes to provide the corresponding service,” Narayan said.

He further informed that to eliminate middlemen, the programme ensures that the concerned official comes to the citizen’s doorstep to offer the service. To maintain transparency, the prescribed fee is also paid using a digital payment system. The minister also said that services will be provided in a time frame of one to twenty days.
