Bengaluru: JDS MLA from Gubbi in Tumakuru district SR Srinivas confirmed that JDS and BJP joined hands to defeat former CM Siddaramaiah in Chamundeshwari constituency in the 2018 assembly election.
“It is true that both parties wanted to defeat Siddaramaiah,” he said.
“Not only at Chamundeshwari; both the parties had joined hands in several constituencies across the state to defeat Congress. The entire country knows this,” he added.
His statement has caused embarrassment to former CM HD Kumaraswamy who denied any such understanding with BJP in the 2018 assembly election.
Earlier Siddaramaiah had alleged that BJP and JDS worked together to defeat him in the Chamundeshwari constituency.
