Bengaluru: Sandalwood actor/politician “Navarasa Nayaka” Jaggesh has opted for a different method of attracting the electorates towards the BJP for the upcoming Assembly by-polls.
Campaigning for BJP candidate S T Somashekhar from the Yeshwanthpur Assembly constituency on Thursday, November 28, Jaggesh addressed the electorates with comedy dialogues, something for which he is well-known.
Addressing the electorate, he said, “I know that when the Yeshwanthpur constituency was in the hands of the BJP, you all were very happy. Later, you were in sorrow when Congress took over. All your sorrows have been heard by God who has made Somashekhar join the BJP.”
Mocking JD(S) candidate Javarayi Gowda, he said, “Javarayi Gowda has become old. The poor fellow has suddenly awakened on the call of his party leaders and, out of enthusiasm, is speaking against Somashekhar. He is just trying to appease the voters by using sentiments and tears. He doesn’t know that the people want someone who can bring a smile on their faces and keep them happy. Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is doing exactly this.”
Meanwhile, he urged the electorate to vote on December 5 (by-poll date) without fail, keeping aside their laziness and other works, to help the BSY government stay in power.
