Bengaluru: Hennur Police has arrested a journalist in connection with demanding money from a person over sand mining.
The police has also sought court permission to arrest four others including the channel Chief. Police is yet to release the details of the accused.
However, according to the police sources, the accused was handed over to the police by the person who was pressurised to pay money.
Meanwhile, the channel officials informed that arrested accused is not a journalist with the company anymore. He was sacked a few months ago.
