Bengaluru: As the Karnataka Budget 2020 is expected to be tabled on March 5 by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, the budget is expected to be pro-farmer.
Addressing the gathering at a programme on Sunday, February 16, the Chief Minister said, “The government has decided to emphasize more on farmers this time, for which more priority is given to the farmers in the Budget 2020. The support price for the crops will also be provided.”
“Our government wants to see the farmers happy and cheerful. Hence to make their lives better, the government has reserved a large amount for the agriculture sector”, he added.
Meanwhile, he said that development of mutts, ‘Kalyana Karnataka’, and a separate fund for Basavanna statue at Chitradurga has been already allotted.
