Bengaluru: As the BJP sweeps in six seats and is inching close to winning in several other by-polls constituencies, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has given his first reaction.
Speaking to the media on Monday, December 9, he said, “At first, I would like to thank the party workers and supporters and especially BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel for their relentless effort. This mandate has raised the bar of our responsibility towards the wholesome development of the state. At this point in time, I urge the Opposition to keep aside all the confusions and conflicts and join hands with us in making this state, a model state. We will try and give the best administration for the next three-year-term.”
Commenting on the defeat of Hunsur BJP candidate A H Vishwanath he said, “I’ll not comment on it, as the people have already given the mandate. We must understand that it is not possible to win in all the 15 seats.”
On questions regarding the party’s situation in Hoskote, BSY said, “We have received information that the ground work has not been initiated to its fullest. We will take a report from the constituency and submit it to our party high command. They will take the decision further.”
Meanwhile, he has said that he would fulfill the promise of giving ministerial berth to the winning candidates and that the state BJP would work towards making the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah come alive.
