Bengaluru: The six-year age limit for admissions to Class 1 at State schools has been revised by the State Government.
The mandatory age limit for enrollment in Class 1 will now apply in the academic year 2025–26 as opposed to the earlier order that specified that the regulation will be applied from the 2023–24 academic year.
The Department of School Education and Literacy released the revised order on Tuesday November 15 following concerns from parents and private school organisations regarding the implementation of the 6-year age limit for enrolling in Class 1 beginning with the next academic year.
