Karnataka: Price of curd, lassi, buttermilk hiked in State

Bengaluru: Owing to the 5 per cent GST announced last month, customers will now have to pay more for packaged curd, buttermilk and sweet lassi from Monday July 18.

According to a statement released on Sunday, the Karnataka Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited has raised the prices by Rs 1-3.

The price of a 1 kg sachet of curd has increased from Rs. 43 to Rs. 46. The price of a 500 gms and a 200 gms sachet has gone up from Rs 22 and Rs. 10 to Rs. 24 and Rs. 12, respectively.

The price of various packets of Nandini sweet lassi has increased by up to Rs. 2. The price of the 200 ml sachet has increased to Rs. 11, while the cost of two tetra packets of sweet lassi and mango lassi, respectively, has increased to Rs. 21 and Rs. 27. Lassi will cost between Rs. 16 and Rs. 21 in 200-ml PET bottles.
