Bengaluru: The Government official L Bheema Nayak and his driver who were arrested on charges of abetting the suicide of Ramesh have been sent to CID custody for five days. They were produced before the court on Monday.
It may be recalled that Nayak, an Karnataka Public Service Commission officer and his driver were arrested in Kalaburagi on Sunday. The officer’s driver Ramesh had ended life and he had accused Nayak of harrassing him in his death note. In the note, Ramesh also accused the officer of helping former minister Janardhana Reddy of converting black money.
Meanwhile, the state government issued an order on Monday suspending Special Land Acquisition Officer Nayak. The order issued on Monday stated that Nayak has been kept under suspension, pending departmental inquiry.
