Bengaluru: The Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) served 12.39 million passengers in the first half of this financial year, reporting a growth of 11.7 per cent in overall traffic compared to the corresponding period in the previous financial year.
Domestic passenger traffic grew by 13.3 per cent and international traffic by 3.6%, airport operator Bangalore International Airport Ltd. announced on Monday. The average passenger movement per day was 67,700 with the highest single day passenger traffic of 78,278 being recorded on May 19, 2017.
The on-time performance touched 86 per cent and baggage delivery time excelled with the first bag delivered within 8 minutes of parking of the flight for domestic and 10 minutes for international arrivals.
