Kolar: Congress MLAs in Kolar District are bringing in Siddaramaiah for fear of losing. However, in Kolar, the Congress Party does not stand a chance. District In-Charge Minister Munirathna expressed confidence that the contest will be between the BJP and the JD (S) and this time the BJP will win, he asserted.

Speaking to mediapersons in the City on Friday January 13, he said that Kolar MLAs and local Congress Leaders were trying to mislead Siddaramaiah.

‘They are hatching a conspiracy to defeat him somehow. If Siddaramaiah understands the nuances of infighting, he will know who his real well-wishers are,” he said.

Congress MLAs from the District are bringing him in fear of losing in their constituencies. He advised Siddaramaiah to tread carefully.

“Siddaramaiah chose Kolar because there are 40,000 Muslim votes. In every election, he keeps contesting from different places. After competing in Varuna, Chamundeshwari and Badami, he has now come to Kolar. In politics, one has to firmly establish oneself in one constituency. Our contribution to that constituency should be tangible. There will be no question of changing the Constituency if the trust of the people of that constituency is gained. There have been instances where many have won seven or eight times from a single each constituency. We don’t understand why Siddaramaiah changes his constituency so often. This is not a good message, he claimed. He further added that it was a wrong decision.
