Kolar: It is official now. Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will not contest from Badami from where he was elected in the 2018 State Assembly election against BJP’s Sriramulu.
Speaking to mediapersons in Kolar, from where he is likely to contest in the 2022 election, Siddaramaiah said that as it is far away from Bengaluru, he will not contest from Badami again.
Siddaramaiah is expected to contest from Kolar District. “Everyone is asking me to contest from Kolar. I will not say no to this,” he stated.
Meanwhile, BJP has hit back at Siddaramaiah stating that he has no safe constituency to contest. “Why he is struggling to find a safe constituency? It reflects that he has lost people’s confidence,” said Union Minister Pralhad Joshi.
