Kolar: MP Muniswamy visits rain affected area

Kolar: Due to the recent untimely hailstorm and storm, various crops have been damaged in thousands of acres of land across the District. MP S. Muniswamy visited various farms of farmers in Koragandanahalli and Konepura in the Taluk.

Nagesh, a farmer from Koragandanahalli and Konepura, inspected the 1-acre cabbage of Nagaraj, 1-acre of beans of Manju and Ramesh’s tomato plantations. The farmers told the MP that even though it has been 3 to 4 days since the crop was damaged, the officials hadbnot yet arrived for the site inspection.

Speaking to reporters after inspecting the damaged area, MP S. Muniswamy said that 2,600 hectares of mango crop has been destroyed from six Taluks. Crops like cabbage, jowar, flowers, potatoes, tomatoes and beans have also been damaged.
