Bengaluru: The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike has organized a massive rally demanding reservation in employment for Kannadigas in government and private sectors. It caused traffic snarls on certain roads in the city.
The rally, which started from National College and culminated at Freedom Park, disrupted traffic flow in the Central Business District on Saturday.
Kannada Rakshana Vedike president Narayana Gowda set a four-month deadline for the State government to implement the Sarojini Mahishi Report’s recommendations, and also cautioned that protests would intensify if the government failed to protect the interests of Kannadigas.
