Bengaluru: A youth from Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada died on the spot while 46 other passengers sustained injuries after a KSRTC bus toppled near Hirisave village in Hassan district at 3 am on Monday.
Deceased has been identified as Abhishek, 26, a resident of Mani village in Bantwal taluk.
According to the initial reports, the bus was ferrying passengers from Mangaluru to Bengaluru and the bus toppled near Hirisave village after the driver lost control on the wheels.
The bus hit a moving Innova vehicle after the accident, causing more damages.
Hirisave police who rushed to the spot took the injured to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) hospital.
Condition of several injured said to be critical.
