Bengaluru: Karnataka Agriculture Price Commission Chairman Hanumanagouda Belagurki presented Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai with the report for the year 2021-22.
The report would be evaluated, and necessary action would be taken based on the report’s recommendations in the farmers’ best interests, according to CM Bommai.
According to sources, the report includes analysis and recommendations on the extent of agriculture and horticulture crop cultivation, crop productivity, cost of production, transportation costs, and other areas of agriculture. The report was created in collaboration with five of the State’s agriculture and horticulture universities.
The report has highlighted on ways and means in which farmers’ incomes can be improved by adopting integrated farming, boosting rural entrepreneurship, making crop insurance mandatory, and implementing farmer-friendly policies.
