Bengaluru: A BJP leader from the State died after he fell into a ditch that was dug in the process to uproot trees and translocate them for a road-widening project in Bengaluru’s Anekal. Madesh, a resident of Submangala village, was returning home after visiting his daughter in a nearby village, when the incident occurred on Anekal-Hosur Road at 10.30 pm.
According to reports, he was not wearing a helmet and failed to notice the pit and fell into it. He was severely injured and eventually succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered against an engineer and road contractor.
It can be recalled that a 75-year-old man allegedly died after his scooter hit a pothole in Bengaluru, recently.
