Bengaluru: It is now official. BJP national leadership has decided to continue Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in his post till the next State Assembly election. However, fearing that his charisma is not enough to lead the party to another victory in 2023, the party decided to promote four ministers as Deputy Chief Ministers (DCMs).

The party has also decided to change the State Unit President Nalin Kumar Kateel with leaders like Minister Sunil Kumar, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje and C. T. Ravi, who is presently serving as the party National Secretary.

Meanwhile, the party also decided to reshuffle the Cabinet. By dropping five ministers and filling the existing five vacancies, the party decided to induct ten new faces to prepare the party for the next election.

According to party sources, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made it clear to the party State Unit leaders that there is an urgent need to improve the administration to regain the lost confidence among the public.
