Bengaluru: The Congress will resume its ‘Namma Neeru, Namma Hakku’ (our water, our right) padayatra in Ramanagara from February 27, demanding the implementation of the Mekedatu project. Last month, the padayatra was suspended due to an increase in Covid – 19 cases.
Opposition leader Siddaramaiah informed at a press conference that the padayatra will end on March 3 at the National College Grounds in Basavanagudi. “The rally will last five days, and all of our leaders, workers, and members of the public will participate in the padayatra,” he said.
According to sources, the padayatra will be led by MLA Ramalinga Reddy when it arrives in Bengaluru.
