Bengaluru: Thawar Chand Gehlot, the Governor of Karnataka has appointed new Vice Chancellors (VC) for two universities.
M. K. Ramesh, President of the Post Graduate Medical Education Board, National Medical Commission has been appointed as the new VC for Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The post was vacant since June 14. Jayakara S. M., Principal of AECS Maruthi College of Dental Sciences has served as the In-Charge VC so far.
The University of Mysore Journalism and Mass Communication department head Niranjan Vanahalli has been appointed as the new VC of Bengaluru North University. The post has been vacant since July 2021.
