Bengaluru: In a circular released on Monday November 8, the State Government has announced new guidelines to be followed by short-term travellers from Maharashtra or those visiting the southern state for two days or less by any mode of transportation.
The order said that short-term travellers must be asymptomatic, meaning they must be free of fever, cough, cold, throat pain, fever, and breathing difficulty, and must produce a self-declaration.
According to the sources, the guidelines were drafted in accordance with the recommendations of the State Covid -19 Technical Advisory Committee. As a result, travellers will be required to carry a Covid – 19 vaccination certificate for both doses, as well as undergo thermal scanning for fever upon arrival.
The order also stated that people who strictly adhere to the norms may be exempted from mandatory RT-PCR negative test reports for the short duration of the visit.
