Bengaluru: The State Government is likely to implement lockdown-like measures in educational institutions for 2 months following recent Covid – 19 cases in Bengaluru, Dharwad and Mysuru, Dharwad, and Bengaluru.
The State Government in an advisory issues on Sunday November 28 stated that all social & cultural events, conferences, seminars, and academic events among others in the educational institutions may be postponed for 2 months. Also it could be conducted in a hybrid mode. Further, all the students in medical, paramedical, and other such educational institutions should be screened daily for Covid – 19 symptoms. Symptomatic cases should be tested and treated as per already issued guidelines.
The curb is also likely to be in place due to new Covid variant Omicron, which is said to be a super spreader.
