Bengaluru: The Basavaraj Bommai-led government has made its promise that allows people in rural areas to pay their property taxes online.
Property tax payments were made manually during these years, which allowed money to be siphoned.
Apart from tax payments, the Bapuji Seva Kendra website also offers a variety of other services, including the issuance of Forms 9 and 11, building construction licences, occupancy certificates, water supply connections, and so on.
The upgraded website is a part of Panchatantra 2.0, the recently launched software platform for managing Gram Panchayats.
The earlier version of Panchatantra, according to the RDPR Department, led to several irregularities in the collection of property taxes, including the failure to enter taxes that were collected, underestimating tax potential, and entering a lower amount to keep the rest of the tax money, etc.
