K’taka releases draft electoral rolls for Legislative Council election on Dec 10

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer’s office has released the draft electoral rolls for the December 10 elections to the Karnataka Legislative Council’s 25 seats.

According to the sources, in the biennial election to the Karnataka Legislative Council, a total of 98,846 voters have been entitled to vote from 20 Local Authorities’ Constituencies for 25 Member of Legislative Council (MLC) seats.

There are 98, 846 voters on the draft electoral roll, with 47,368 men, 51,474 women, and three transgender voters. For the elections, 6,073 polling stations are proposed.

In a press release, Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena stated that claims and objections must be filed with the concerned Election Registration Officer within seven days of the EROs’ release of draft rolls.
