K’taka vaccinates nearly half of its population against Covid-19

Bengaluru: The State has completed vaccinating nearly 50% of its population with both the doses against Covid – 19.

According to the State Health Department, in all 2.4 crore people out of the eligible 4.9 crore population are vaccinated as on Friday November 12.

Further, around 4.36 crore people have been vaccinated with the first dose, around 2.35 crore people have received their second dose.

Also Bengaluru has the distinction of administering the second-highest number of vaccine doses among metropolitan cities at over 1.54 crore doses with Delhi standing at number one position with 2.11 crore doses.
