Bengaluru: Trouble seems never ending for former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. As many as five complaints were filed before the Lokayukta special court on Thursday against Yeddyurappa regarding land de-notification.
On January 22 and 24, 2010, complainant Sirajin Basha had filed those five private complaints against Yeddyurappa. H R Bhardwaj, the then governor had given a green signal to go ahead with the prosecution of Yeddyurappa.
The high court had quashed the complaints when Yeddyurappa approached it. The complainant then knocked the doors of Supreme Court which upheld the high court’s verdict citing the reason that the governor’s decision to sanction the prosecution was illegal.
The complainant, Basha once again approached Governor Vajubhai Vala seeking sanction, who clarified that the sanction was not required as Yeddyurappa was no longer a chief minister.
The cases will come up for hearing on October 27.
