Bengaluru: In a shockingly gruesome incident, a realtor was shot by an RTI activist from close range at Pillammanakatte near Sunkadakatte on Thursday evening.
The victim, Venkateshappa is severely injured and is admitted to a private hospital. The condition of the victim is said to be critical and unconscious.
Meanwhile, the accused RTI activist Vasanth Kumar was arrested near Sunkadakatte BDA complex, soon after the incident took place.
According to police sources, both frequently fought over a land deal for few months which ultimately led to this gruesome incident.
The RTI activist Vasanth trespassed into a makeshift shed built by Venkatesh and started to throw out the materials on Thursday evening at 6 pm.
Soon after Venkatesh arrived at the spot and questioned Vasanth Kumar over the act.
Furious over realtor’s arrogant questioning, Vasanth took out his revolver and volleyed three bullets.
Three bullets were pumped into Venkatesh’ body in which one stuck the thigh and two in abdomen.
