Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa stated that the government will not extend the lockdown period ending on May 12.
The decision has been taken on Tuesday, May 4 in the cabinet meeting.
Addressing media after the meeting, BSY said that even though the cases of Covid 19 increasing rapidly Covid 19 even after imposing Janata curfew. Yet, the government of Karnataka has no plans to impose a complete lockdown in the state.
Answering the questions of reporters, he said the government will take necessary actions to meet the rising demand for medical oxygen. The journalists are also identified as frontline warriors, and accord priority in vaccination against Covid 19, he added.
