Bengaluru: The Additional Sessions Court in Madhugiri, Tumakuru District has issued a non-bailable warrant against activist poet Varavara Rao. He is currently out on bail on medical grounds.
The non-bailable warrant is in connection with the case pertaining to attack in 2005 on policemen in Tumakuru. However, it is reported that Varavara Rao’s lawyer would be moving to the High Court on Monday October 25.
It can be recalled here that Varavara Rao and Gaddar are among the accused in the case.
The 81-year-old poet-activist is currently on bail in connection with the Elgar Parishad case and conditioned not to move out of Mumbai in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon case.
