Bengaluru: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered an FIR against the Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation chairman and Congress leader Magadi Kamalamma for demanding bribe.
According to the ACB officials, it has been alleged that Kamalamma had demanded Rs. 1 lakh from Bhagyalakshmi who had sought a job in the corporation for her son. In her complaint, Bhagyalakshmi had alleged that Kamalamma had demanded Rs. 1 lakh initially.
“After bargain, she agreed for Rs.30,000,” she alleged submitting an audio proof along with the complaint.
After veryfying the voice samples, now the ACB has registered a case against Kamalamma, one of the influential women leaders of the Congress party.
