Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) completed maintenance work on 3,343 transformers under its jurisdiction in just five days. This is part of BESCOM’s transformer maintenance campaign, which began on May 5.
Transformers that are experiencing technical problems and are located in hazardous areas will be taken down for maintenance. Throughout the 15-day campaign, transformer upgrades were also undertaken.
In Bengaluru’s Urban District, 1,233 transformers have been fixed. According to BESCOM, 486 transformers in Tumakuru, 465 in Davangere, and 257 in Chitradurga District were repaired.
