Man hangs himself after killing wife in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: On Sunday October 17, a 32-year-old man allegedly beat his wife to death before hanging himself from a ceiling fan at their home in Byadarahalli, West Bengaluru.

The deceased have been identified as V. Manjunath (32), a lathe operator, and his wife M. Roja (28).

The couple hail from from Malavalli in Mandya. They moved to a rented house in Tigalarapalya earlier this year. According to the reports, they were reportedly married four years ago and would frequently fight over his alcohol consumption. Roja was allegedly beaten on a regular basis by Manjunath.

Neighbours heard Manjunath and Roja fighting on Sunday afternoon too. A neighbour called the cops after the couple didn’t answer the door when he knocked.

Police discovered Roja’s body on the floor and Manjunath hanging from the ceiling fan in the house. Based on the evidence, Roja was attacked.

A case in this regard has been filed and further investigation is on.
