Bengaluru: Bengaluru police has arrested for posing as IAS officer and duping many people by collecting more than Rs. 15 lakh.

The accused has been identified as Sandeep, a resident of Mandya. He conned people into believing he was giving them job.

Sandeep has been charged in two separate cases.

In a case filed at Pulikeshinagar Police Station by K. Veena, Sandeep met her in Tirupati and promised her a job. On the pretext of securing her a job at a government agency with a salary of Rs. 75,000, he allegedly cheated her of Rs. 6 lakh.

Sandeep had also persuaded Veena’s friend, and a case has been filed against Veena too at the Vidhana Soudha Police Station for allegedly collecting Rs. 6 lakh from her friend by claiming to know as IAS officer who could get government jobs.

Further investigation is on.
