Bengaluru: Bengaluru police arrested a man for stealing his cousin’s jewellery worth Rs. 31 lakh.
The arrested is Ajit (26), a Madanayakanahalli resident.
Savita, Ajit’s cousin sister, noticed that some of her jewellery was missing on May 3. When the accused returned home the next day, she followed him and found that he was the one who had stolen her gold.
She informed her husband about the incident. When confronted, Ajit admitted his crime and told Savita that he will return the jewellery as soon as possible.
He threatened to kill them when they asked about the gold a few days later.
Following this, Savita filed a case.
