Mastigudi film tragedy: Third body of ill-fated person retrieved

Bengaluru: The body of a third person who drowned in Thippagondanahalli reservoir was retrieved by NDRF team members after an extensive search on Friday, November 11.
Everything happened in few seconds: Ravi Verma-1After retrieving the bodies of two Kannada actors who drowned after jumping from a helicopter during the shooting of a film, NDRF (National Disaster Rescue Force) team members managed to extract the body of Yellaiah, from the reservoir.

Huge crowds had gathered to witness the rescue operations carried out by NDRF after the two actors drowned in the reservoir. Some miscreants threw stones on a beehive and soon bees swarmed away. When people started running in panic, few jumped into the lake to protect themselves from imminent bee attack. Unfortunately, Yellaiah too jumped, but eventually drowned.

Based on the information given by his friends Ramaiah and Chowdaiah who accompanied Yellaiah to the reservoir, NDRF team members carried out search operations and succeeded in retrieving the body this morning.

The deceased Yellaiah‘s body was handed over to his relatives and the last rites will be performed by this evening, according to family sources.
