Bengaluru: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers DV Sadananda Gowda has said that despite the pandemic there has been 40 per cent hike in the sale of chemicals and fertilisers in the country, which shows that people have an inclination towards farming.
“As per the World Bank report, the country’s economy will be back on track next year,” he said after performing the ‘bhumi pooja’ for the upcoming project of Sai Kalyan, at Yelahanka.
Stating that the economies across the world have taken a beating due to the pandemic, Gowda said that India is one of the fastest-growing economies and the Atma Nirbhar Bharat project of PM Narendra Modi of Rs 20 lakh crore has fortified our economy.
Speaking about Sai Kalyan developers, he said that withstanding the onslaught of the pandemic, Sai Kalyan has come forward to build 500 flats, which is commendable.
“Such projects open up avenues of employment to the people and also boost the economy. I must say that the central government under the leadership of Narendra Modi and the state government led by BS Yediyurappa are both doing outstanding work. The BJP is a party that believes in asking people for votes based on the work done,” he said.
Sai Kalyan Chairman Venugopal said that the company is focused on creating jobs during the pandemic and also providing quality flats to people at affordable prices.
