Bengaluru: Muzrai Minister Shashikala Jolle has asked all the temples under the Endowment Department to celebrate Yugadi, which falls in April 2 this year as ‘Dharmika Dina’.
Jolle in a release has stated that it is appropriate to celebrate Yugadi as ‘Dharmika Dina.’ Since Yugadi is observed as New Year in Karnataka, the Department wants the temples under it to observe the day as ‘Dharmika Dina’.
In a circular, the Minister has also ordered the authorities to conduct special pooja and distribute neem and jaggery in all the temples.
