Belagavi: “No chief minister dared to celebrate Tipu Jayanti after the country gained independence. Siddaramaiah should be packed off to Pakistan after Tipu Jayanthi celebrations,” said Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Sanjay Patil.
Ridiculing the CM further, Sanjay Patil asked, “Did CM take birth in Lahore or Mysuru? The chief minister who goes to temples after consuming non-vegetarian food must be subjected to a DNA test to confirm whether he is a Hindu or not?, questioned MLA Patil.
“We are not against Muslims but against Tipu fest,” stated Patil and went on to add that the party unit will garland Maratha leader Shivaji’s photographs at every street corner in Belgaum on November 10 to oppose the state sponsored Tipu fest, MLA Patil confirmed.
“We are ready to salute Kalam but will oppose Tipu and all those shouting pro-Pak slogans after enjoying the benefits of our land,” Patil stated.
“The chief minister of a state should love people of all castes and religions. He cannot be partial to one particular religion and Hindus will teach a lesson to the state chief minister in the ensuing assembly elections, Patil said, predicting worst days ahead for Siddaramaiah.
